Jack was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis at the age of 8 years old. His Arthritis limited him to do the things he loved like playing hockey and soccer. Fortunately, with the help of the amazing doctors at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, Jack was prescribed multiple pills and injections to take on a weekly basis in order to help with his pain and discomfort. After undergoing this process for 3 long years, Jack is now walking pain free. 

 

As a way to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses that helped him through this process, Jack and his family starting fundraising annually to raise awareness and money for the Rheumatology department at the MCH. What started off as a breakfast fundraiser at restaurant “Au Blanc D’Oeuf”  in Laval, grew in both attendance and donations with every passing year. In 2022, Jack decided to continue his passion for fundraising by founding the Stepping Stone Gala.
